The fallout from the media scrum following the AEW All Out 2022 event unexpectedly spiraled into disaster, and its repercussions continue to be felt in the wrestling community over a year later. This whole ordeal opened up a whole new can of worms today as CM Punk’s attorney Stephen P New might be using Chris Jericho’s tweets against him in a possible lawsuit over an NDA claim.
In a recent turn of events, Chris Jericho and CM Punk’s lawyer, Stephen P. New, have found themselves entangled in a public dispute. Jericho claimed that he never signed non-disclosure agreement after the Brawl Out incident, triggering a prompt rebuttal from New.
The attorney then decided to flex his legal muscle by stating that all parties involved in the backstage brawl had, in fact, signed lifelong NDAs. Tensions escalated when New proposed that the NDA should be explicitly outlined in Jericho’s employee handbook, sparking heated exchange between Jericho and New.
Jim Cornette then accused Chris Jericho of deception after the latter went after Stephen P New. In light of this ongoing social media conflict, Stephen P New took to Twitter and claimed that he would be using Chris Jericho’s scathing tweet against him as ‘Exhibit A’ in a possible lawsuit.
”Thank you Chris. We will just attach this Tweet as Exhibit A. Merry Christmas.”
The cover of the AEW Employee Handbook was also leaked recently. Regardless, we will have to wait and see whether Stephen P New will actually end up filing a lawsuit against Chris Jericho.
What’s your opinion on Chris Jericho possibly getting hit with a lawsuit? Do you feel this whole drama has been overblown? Let us know in the comments!
